Option 3 –  Complete JMACX FORD 9” Differential Housing – the Ultimate RAM 1500 upgrade: $ 14,500.00 + Core Exchange Fee

• Differential housing: New JMACX replacement Ram 1500 differential housing, fully fabricated 6mm tube housing, CNC machine finished, Ford 9” compatible with axle tube reinforcing and chromoly spindles
• Axles: Aircraft grade steel billet 300M (the strongest axle material on the market) floater axles
• Differential centre: New Ford 9” diff centre with 3.91 ratio designed to suit air locker. The Ford 9” is renowned in heavy applications and established for its use on and off-road. 
• Floating hub kit with backing plate mounts and end caps and quality bearings to suit load rating
• ARB air locker (excluding compressor.  Switches and air lines supplied but not fitted)

This option 3 Ford 9 inch differential option is the strongest diff housing for RAM Diffs on the market. It is an affordable alternative to factory replacement.

All Diff Housing have an NON Optional Core Exchange: $ 2000.00

The JMACX modified housing works on an undamaged core exchange basis. The customer agrees to relinquish their factory diff housing and is supplied a JMACX modified diff from stock. All Diff options require a deposit of $2000 for the core exchange. This deposit will be refundable depending on the condition of the differential when assessed by the JMACX HQ Differential Team. If the differential is deemed in sound rebuildable condition, a full deposit will be refunded. If additional parts are required only partial deposit will be refunded based on the cost of the repair parts. If the differential is damaged beyond repairable use then no deposit will be refunded. Diff sales without a core exchange (no diff available for exchange) can be only discussed with JMACX HQ.

Ram Vehicle Models:

DS MODEL: Fitment to the 5 lug, OEM coil rear springs and mechanical handbrake has been confirmed by the JMACX team. OEM air spring models are to be confirmed.  

DT MODEL: Fitment to the 6 lug, OEM coil rear springs and electric handbrake has been confirmed by the JMACX team. OEM air spring models are to be confirmed.  

Installation: The range of JMACX RAM Differentials can only be purchased and installed by a JMACX approved facility who must follow the core exchange differential return instructions. 

Engineering: An Engineering Evidence Data pack can be supplied to approved Engineer/Transport authorities. 

 

Frequently Asked Questions:

 

Can I just rerate my axles by applying the Queensland 10% upgrade?

No. Under state legislation the rerating of axles is not compliant. You can’t exceed the manufacturer’s axle load rating by applying the Queensland 10% upgrade. 

 

Why doesn’t JMACX provide an axle rating greater than 2500kg?

To exceed 2500kg in your GVM will exceed the chassis strength of the car, working against the limitations of the vehicle. 

 

Why do I need load rated wheels?

Due to the increased carrying capacity and increased weight, load rated wheels are required.  If your rims are load rated, note that some are only bored part of the way at the dimension of the hole, and must be bored right through to suit (approx. 78.1mm).
