Description

The Toyota 79 Series is an iconic old-school vehicle, which really lives up to its reputation as a tough, functional workhorse and off-road tourer. Although often dubbed as one of the most reliable heavy duty Utes available, the standard design is extremely simple and somewhat lacking in character. This is where Torqit’s 3.5” Twin Exit Performance Exhaust for the 79 Series dual cab enters the game. Renowned for our Landcruiser systems, Torqit has put in extensive R & D to deliver the perfect mix of sound, performance, and quality.

Designed for maximum power and torque, the turbo back 79 Series dual cab twin exhaust is one of the most thick and durable mandrel bent systems of its kind in Australia. Tried and tested in the toughest of Australian conditions, it is manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel and is up to 2mm thick to prevent cracking when traversing rough terrain. The three-bolt laser cut flanges are also manufactured from 304 grade steel, and are welded inside and out for extra strength to withstand heavy duty off-roading. The thickness and diameter of the 79 Series 3.5” exhaust produces the ultimate deep V8 rumble, while the twin exit creates a different dynamic to the note. It’s not just the note that stands out on this system- it comes with a brushed stainless steel finish and a dual left and right exit, which are visible from the rear wheel back on both sides.

The system is a 3.5” from the back of the turbo and runs into 3” tailpipes. It includes high flow catalytic converters to improve the flow of gases, and double braided flex bellows which reduce strain on the system and absorb excess movement and vibrations. The blue titanium dump pipes help disperse heat and lower the Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGT’s). Titanium is a tough, low-corrosion metal with extremely high heat resistance and a long lifespan. By effectively dispersing heat and cooling rapidly, it keeps the engine bay cooler and protects the engine and its components.
