The JMACX 2.0 Alpha Steering Damper is a true 2.0 inch bore construction. Many competitors claim this title but the reality is a scaled down version. Created with IFP Technology this damper is superior in its ability to keep your tyres tracking true and straight. If the vehicle’s tyre size is increased, the stabiliser should be upgraded as 35 inch tyres are heavier and harder to control than factory tyres even in on road applications. 

Lower quality dampers have emulsion stabilisers, these mix the oil with the gas charge and do not function well in horizontally mounted applications.  However the 2.0 Alpha Steering Damper has an IFP (Internal Floating Piston) stabiliser incorporating a second piston internal to the shock body known as the dividing piston. This design keeps the oil and nitrogen separated. When the nitrogen gas is separated it maintains constant pressure against the billet floating dividing piston. The nitrogen charge pressurising the oil cavity increases the heat tolerance of the oil whilst eliminating cavitation (foaming), which can occur on rough roads when the oil heats up. 

The 2.0 Alpha Steering Damper includes:

Body:  alloy 58mm, CNC machined with a cerakote finish for durability and corrosion resistance

Shaft: 22mm micro cracked and polished for exceptional seal lubrication

Bearing ends: spherical bearing ends, components greased and sealed

Piston: 50mm CNC finished T6 alloy internal IFP reservoir separates shock oil from high-pressure nitrogen rod 

Mounting Pin Kit: CNC SA-5 coated mounting kits

The 2.0 Alpha Steering Damper is a direct bolt in fitment. Also fully re-buildable and tuneable to give you the ability to dial in as much dampening as you like.
